If any single channel could claim to have the best content in the world-it’s HBO. From the “golden years” of Sex and the City and The Sopranos to the current offerings like Game of Thrones and True Detective, HBO has always lived up to its “Premium Cable” namesake. Below are a list of HBO series premiere dates for the shows currently making the rounds on the Home Box Office’s airwaves.
Game of Thrones Premiere Date:
Season five premiere date: April 12th, 2015
Season one premiere date: April 17th, 2015
Will there be another season of Game of Thrones? Yes. Seasons five and six have both been confirmed and most assume a seventh season will also become a reality.
Girls Premiere Date:
Season four premiere date: January 11th, 2015
Season one premiere date: April 15th, 2012
Will there be another season of Girls? Yes, Girls season 5 has been confirmed and will air in 2016.
True Detective Premiere Date:
Season two premiere date: June 21st, 2015
Season one premiere date: January 12th, 2014
Will there be another season of True Detective? Yes, HBO has ordered a second season of True Detective. A third season is expected, but not confirmed.
Westworld Premiere Date:
Season one premiere date: 2015 has been confirmed.
Will there be another season of Westworld? This is the first season of “Westworld” on HBO.
Veep Premiere Date:
Season four premiere date: April 12th, 2015
Season one premiere date: April 22nd, 2012
Will there be another season of Veep? Yes. HBO has ordered a fifth season of Veep and will presumably air in 2016.
Silicon Valley Premiere Date:
Season two premiere date: April 12th, 2015
Season one premiere date: April 6th, 2014
Will there be another season of Silicon Valley? Yes. HBO has ordered a third season of Silicon Valley which should premiere in 2016.
The Leftovers Premiere Date:
Season two premiere date: Announced, 2015 TBD
Season one premiere date: June 29th, 2014
Will there be another season of The Leftovers? Yes. The Leftovers is being “rebooted” for a presumed 2015 premiere date, though it will not air in June as season 1 did.
Togetherness Premiere Date:
Season two premiere date: Announced, 2016 TBD
Season one premiere date: January 11th, 2015
Will there be another season of Togetherness? Yes. HBO has renewed Togetherness for a second season that will premiere in 2016, most likely.
