Yahoo! Screen has started tipping their hand a bit toward their desire to compete with other similar SVOD services when it comes to producing original content. With big signings such as Community, then developing their own series such as Other Space and Sin City Saints. Below we’ll keep a rolling list of Yahoo! Screen original series as well as premiere dates for Yahoo! shows.
Community premiere dates:
Season seven premiere date: TBD
Season six premiere date: March 17th, 2015
Will there be another season of Community? Yahoo! and the show’s creators are in talks. We’d expect an update here soon, but this one is certainly tricky.
Update: Joel McCale just confirmed that there won’t be another season of Community. Keep your fingers crossed for a Community movie.
Other Space premiere dates:
Season two premiere date: TBD
Season one premiere date: April 14th, 2015
Will there be another season of Other Space? This show has been performing really well, so the expectation is there will be a second season, but Yahoo! has not made any official announcement on the matter yet.
Sin City Saints premiere dates:
Season two premiere date: TBD
Season one premiere date: March 23rd, 2015
Will there be another season of Sin City Saints? No word here. Critics and audience response has been a bit quieter on this one, so our early guess is that a renewal isn’t likely, but we will update if we hear differently.
