HBO just renewed the series for a second season, meaning those who fall in love with the series won’t have to worry about whether or not the show will be back.
‘Vinyl’ was created by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen and Terence Winter and follows the world of music in the 1970s, covering angles like the record executive, the aspiring young rock ‘n roll band, and other industry insiders. The series premiered on HBO February 14th to a somewhat limited audience, but HBO clearly sees potential, given that the renewal came so quickly. The weekend they chose to premiere ‘Vinyl’ was also relatively suspect, given that it was up against some current television giants, Valentine’s day and a holiday weekend.
No word yet as to how long this free episode will be streaming, so if you’re going to do it, we recommend you start now.
