The Big Names on Netflix Continue – Winona Ryder and David Harbour Booked for an Original Series

The Duffer brothers have been tasked by Netflix to bring us a new original series and they’ve tagged a few bigger names to act out their work on screen.

A currently unnamed-but-announced Netflix original by the Duffer brothers has just locked up deals with Winona Ryder and David Harbour to star in a supernatural-themed Netflix original.

Deadline broke the news earlier that the deal was done for the two stars.

As far as what the show is about? The supernatural themes have been reported to be closely resembling an 1980s throwback, where a missing young boy sparks a curious search involving supernatural forces, shady government experiments and general distrust and unrest among the community.

My first guess is that this might end up becoming an attempt to capture some of that wildly successful fanfare most notably gained in the past several years by The CW. The show feels like something ripped from the pilot list of the network most notable for shows such as ‘Supernatural’ ‘The Originals’ ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and more. I could easily be wrong, but my mind immediately wandered into that genre when the show’s plot was originally announced.

As for any more information regarding the currently untitled original, well, you’re just going to have to wait. More details to follow.
