The NBC series-turned Netflix series created by Tina Fey became a smash hit on the streaming service, with by far the catchiest theme song in recent memory.

Following the life of a young woman who escapes a kidnapper / cult leader’s bunker and finds new life and purpose while exploring the world’s busiest city, New York.

Her laughable ignorance to reality is delightfully overshadowed by positive attitude and optimism. In other words, Ms. Schmidt is taking this new found freedom well, and shows the world she’s ready to take it on.

The series performed extremely well on Netflix, which made for an interesting news stories regarding how well this show would have done on NBC compared to a streaming service.
