Larry David Returns! ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Coming Back for Season Nine

Guess who is back…

The theme song chiming in shortly after the static of the HBO logo, tubas, horns, etc, and the iconic image of a bald asshole making his appearance on screen.

HBO announced today that Larry David will be back, bringing us all a glorious ninth season of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm.’

So why here and why now? There is no better answer than Larry David’s, so here it is:

Asked why he decided to come back, David said, “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.’”

For those less familiar with ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ it’s basically an old rich man who doesn’t give a shit about what anyone things flying in the face of hundreds of years of social norms. Never afraid to call anything out, David, playing himself, makes for some of the most cringe-inducing television of all time. Of course sometimes going against the grain just kind of makes you a jerk as social norms exist for a reason. Larry David isn’t always right.

This will be ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’s’ 9th season, and the show much like a fine wine only got better with age through each of its seasons. The first eight seasons are available on both Amazon Video as well as HBO’s streaming apps HBO Go and HBO Now.

No word yet as to when ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ season nine will premiere, but we’re guessing it will likely be some time in 2017.
