Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, which you can watch in its entirety online here for free, had a seemingly great first week.

Crackle announced that the straight-to-SVOD movie has already surpassed one million views. It’s hard to benchmark the success of this to other SVOD movies, as most services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime work to conceal the data behind each movie’s stats.

Regardless, the fact that Crackle is announcing the number at all likely means we’re looking at what they consider a successful release, especially as the number continues to grow in the coming weeks.

Joe Dirt 2 knows its place in the universe, so with that in mind, if you enjoyed the first one, you’ll probably get a few hearty laughs out of the sequel. Is it ridiculous and extremely stupid? Absolutely, but don’t forget how you actually felt after having seen the first  Joe Dirt: cheap laughs, great one-liners, and plenty of quotable material. Joe Dirt 2 doesn’t live up to the first, but still made for a fun viewing. Anyone who says otherwise is probably trying too hard.

The big takeaway here for us is how fascinating this viewership number data actually is. We’d love it if more streaming services threw us a bone once in a while with regards to data behind their most successful content.
