We’re willing to bet HBO had no idea just how successful ‘Game of Thrones‘ was going to be for them. Regardless, success only breeds hunger for more success, and it has been a few years since the premium cable network has landed another major dramatic winner.

Enter ‘Westworld,’ HBO’s biggest bet since ‘Game of Thrones’ and now we finally have a brief trailer showing off just a bit of the series, which you can watch here:

HBO has also announced that ‘Westworld’ will premiere October 2016, finally giving fans a loose date to prepare their excitement. After several major delays and reworks, it’s nice to finally see some proof that this series is going to become a reality in short order.

This isn’t the first time HBO has delayed a release, though, and in fact should actually be a positive sign for fans, as HBO is proving they’re willing to forego a faster release in order to ensure the quality we have all come to expect from the network.

The sci-fi/western theme certainly piques our curiosity, and we’re going to go out on a limb that the series won’t hold back when it comes to pushing the envelope. The series also boasts some major names in entertainment, with J.J. Abrams, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Rachel Evan Woods and more all on board. Based on a 1970s movie of the same name, there’s not yet a lot of signals whether or not the show will follow much of the source material or instead base itself on the same theme.

Prepare yourselves, people, ‘Westworld’ is a reality.
