Thinking back to elementary and middle school, there was no greater reward than walking into class and seeing the TV on the roller stand sitting at the front of the class. Because, without a shadow of a doubt, that meant it was time to kick back, relax, and enjoy some ‘Bill Nye the Science Guy’ for the next thirty minutes (perhaps even longer depending on how tired our teacher looked).
This week, Netflix and the king of science announced a new series for the streaming service, ‘Bill Nye saves the World’ focusing on important topics such as climate change, GMOs, vaccinations, and more.
“Since the start of the Science Guy show, I’ve been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science,” said Nye. “Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”
‘Bill Nye Saves the World’ will be joining Netflix Spring 2017, but before then and now, you can enjoy some highlights from the hit series below:
